We’re not all about shoes and lipsticks. This week we’re sharing some of our favourite apps that have gotten us hooked to our smartphones.

We can hardly escape technology and ever since the world of apps came into being, it has taken over our lives 24/7. If we’re not on our phones texting friends in a group chat on WhatsApp finding out what the daily gossip was, we would be hooked on one of our favourite apps – these are the ones that we never fail to use on a daily basis.

From Spotify to get our daily tunes in to Groupon for the latest deals and Snapchat, because why not, here are a couple of our trusted apps to use!

AstrologyZone by Susan Miller

“I’m a very simple woman – at least when it comes to technology. While I endorse the digital world and social media in the professional capacity, I tend to shy away from it when it comes to my personal life (hence, I don’t have Facebook or even an Instagram account). But as far as apps are concerned, I like the ones which are simple to use and not fussy. Since I’m obsessed with horoscopes, my most addictive app has to be Susan Miller’s AstrologyZone. Other than giving a brief – and scaringly accurate – daily prediction, the app also has other functions like detailed monthly overviews and the general profile of each sign. So yes, I check my horoscope everyday #noshame.”

Goodreads

“It comes as no surprise that I adore words and checking Goodreads for the latest book recommendation has to be my daily routine. Because if anything, I’m always looking to add a new book to my bookshelf – besides shoes in shoe shelf that is. ”

Snapchat

“Honestly, what’s not to love about Snapchat? Mysteriousness and secrecy aside, it becomes a social media platform where you can still share your story without being too concerned about likes. Secondly, my Andorid takes forever to focus and take a picture so with Snapchat, everything becomes much faster. I have longed for an app with an easy user interface that allows me to doodle and put emojis on my pictures. Plus, it’s the best app that sends videos and pictures without having to save or delete them after. ”

Spotify

“I could reveal my deepest darkest secret about being in love with the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game but I know it’s just a phase that will pass. But what will never pass is my love for good grooves. Spotify is definitely my favourite app as I get to listen to old and new songs as well as different cover versions. And I get to pick what genre I would like according to my mood. I’m usually on the Post Modern Jukebox playlist as I love their doo-wop and jazz covers of popular songs.”

Shazam

“I like a lot of apps, but my favourite one is still Shazam! Wherever, whenever,  as soon as I hear an unknown tune I like, I Shazam it right away and that’s it! I can instantly add the new song to my playlist! That’s magic to me!”

Spotify

“Put me anywhere in this world and I’ll feel right at home with music and books. Premium Spotify is the best, as I can still listen to my playlist when there’s no wifi or roaming. Love it.”

Groupon

“I have to admit I have been abusing it to the point where my boyfriend has now prohibited me from booking us couple massages for an entire year and possibly forever but it’s just so convenient! You find pretty awesome deals there and I like planning my week with spa treatments and aroma therapies!”

AutoRap

“It’s probably the most useful app on iTunes. The principe is simple: speak into your phone’s microphone and this app will need less than a minute to turn it into a catchy song. From lyrics to rhythm and a bass… there is everything to create your next hit single.”
