We can’t deny that we love shopping so if you can’t find us, there’s a high chance that we’re cooped up in our favourite stores in town.

We live in a country that has new malls springing up ever so often, so to say we’re shopaholics may be an understatement – especially when we’re constantly tempted. However, there are certain stores that we just tend to go back to even if there’s nothing we particularly need. These are the stores that constantly bring in quirky, unique items, be it fashion, beauty, furniture or decor, to pique our interest.

So if you’re looking to hit up some new haunts in Singapore, here are some of our favourite stores in town!

KEEPERS, 230 Orchard Road

“The brainchild of Carolyn Kan (aka Carrie K.), local designer pop-up shop KEEPERS is the best thing that recently happened to the Singapore fashion and design scene. Located in the heart of Orchard Road, this stylish boutique showcases the best of the best when it comes to what is ‘made in Singapore’. What’s better is that it rotates the designers accordingly so all the talented independent labels get a chance of exposing their brands to the public. From fashion to accessories and homeware, it is the perfect place to find something unique and local!”

Crate & Barrel, #04-21/22, #03-25, ION Orchard, Singapore 238801

“As much as I love living with my family under one roof, I year for the day when I can have my own space and decorate it however I please. Which is why I enjoy walking through interior design or furnishing stores just to envision what my future home would look like.”

The Editor’s Market, 181 Orchard Road, #04-08 Orchard Central, 238896

“In the short time that I was in Singapore, I think the store that left a lasting impression on me is The Editor’s Market. Never have I before encountered a clothing store where the more you buy, the cheaper price per item is. Whenever I shopped there, a couple group of girls would approach me and ask if I would like to join our bills. The concept could be toxic because a plan to buy one item can end with a bag of five, not to mention how nice their clothes are!”

Sephora ION Orchard, 2 Orchard Turn, #01-05/06, Singapore 238801

“My favourite shop in Singapore is definitely Sephora in ION. I love going in and coming out with a bagful of goodies or a face full of makeup.

I can easily spend over 30 minutes in there swatching every colour on my arm!”

Naiise, 3 Gateway Dr, West Gate Mall, #01-30, Singapore 608532

“This shop curates such Naiise stuff! I’m so glad to see that it stocks many local designers, who churn out quirky and quintessentially Singaporean products. Beyond that, I love the curation of goods, which are simple yet well designed and they come at reasonable prices!”

WEEKENDS, #B1-10, VivoCity, 1 Harbourfront Walk, Singapore 098585

“It may have just opened about a week ago, but Weekends is already my new favourite shop in Singapore. The store is beautifully decorated and full of cutesy stuff that you’d buy for yourself or friends. It’s the perfect place to go gift hunting for special occasions. Forget what I want, is there anything I don’t want from the store?”

“I love this Japanese store! They sell everything from original kitchen ware and useful sport goods to funny Japanese goodies, all priced at only SGD2! I always walk out with something when I go there!”

Kapok, #01-05 National Design Centre, 111 Middle Road, Singapore 188969

“They have a few shops in Singapore, but I especially love the one at National Design Centre. I like how they make use of the space to display all their items. Their quirky accessories are great for gifts and I like how their merchandise is well curated. Only the good, the creative and the affordable is sold here.”
