On July 14th, the stylish rooftop bar with the stunning backdrop will be offering 1.5 hours of free flow French wines with complimentary Margherita pizza bits for groups of four or more. This Bastille Day, Bar-Roque Grill's Chef Stephane and co. will be celebrating the French Independence Day with an all-day party! There will be a live station featuring roasted lamb on a spit, a Ricard station as well as French beats for all-round good vibes! The lamb on the spit will be served with a tabbouleh salad and merguez at SGD36/pax, and you can enjoy drinks at the Ricard station at just SGD5/drink! There's also red, white and rose wines available.

So France Liquor Tasting & Bastille Day Brunch Menu

So France will be hosting not one, but two Bastille Day events! On 12-13 July, So France will host Monsieur Philippe Layus, one of their Armagnac and Floc de Gascogne producers. He will conduct both a liquor tasting and a chef’s demonstration class, and guests will have the opportunity to sample different kinds of wine. Additionally, on 14-15 July, the restaurant will offer a specially crafted brunch menu including juicy rolled steak and fresh oysters. More information here.

Happening through the week of Bastille Day, head on over to Novotel Clark Quay to enjoy their special Bastille Day set menu, which will include duck rillettes, traditional opera cake and a glass of Roche Mazet Cab Sauvignon at only SGD35++! Bastille Day Celebrations at the French International School

Why: Head on over to Lycee Francais, or the French International School, to attend their annual Bastille Day celebrations this July 7th! This event is organized by various French communities within Singapore, including the French Embassy of Singapore and the French Association of Singapore. This Bastille Day event will offer free flow of cheese and cold cuts, as well as kids entertainments, performers, magicians, photobooth, live bands and a mystery "Guest DJ"! More information here.

Fun fact: Did you know that this year, both Singapore and Japan will be guests-of-honour at France’s annual Bastille Day celebrations? You read that right – both the leaders of Singapore and Japan will be guests at the annual Bastille Day parade and the Singapore Flag Party will be marching within the parade itself as well.

And although it might seem a tad strange to celebrate another country’s National Day, this is another excuse (apart from the 4th of July) to pop your champagne and enjoy a spot of nice summer fun!
