All the world is truly a stage: Shakespeare’s Globe returns to Singapore this September as part of their global tour – you’ll be in for a real treat.

The Twelfth Night

Here’s something for the theatre buffs: Shakespeare’s Globe will be stopping in Singapore for their global tour between the 18th and 22nd of September!

Fans of the playwright will be in for a treat with his some of his most popular and iconic plays: Twelfth Night, The Merchant of Venice, and The Taming of the Shrew at the School of the Arts (SOTA) Singapore. And as a special treat for their Singaporean audience, they will be recreating a 16th-century Shakespearean tradition by letting the audience choose which play to perform out of the three for their last two shows on the 22nd.

In accordance with tradition, audience members will be able to “cast their vote” by shouting or applauding out loud for the plays they want to see.

This production, which has been on an international tour, began at the one and only Globe Theatre in London in May. It will feature an esteemed cast which includes the likes of Luke Brady, Steffan Cennydd, Cynthia Emeagi, Sarah Finigan, Colm Gormley, Russell Layton, Rhianna McGreevy, and Jacqueline Phillips.

“There is no darkness but ignorance”… So don’t say we didn’t keep you in the loop!

Tickets to the shows are now available on SISTIC, starting from SGD88. 15% Early Bird discount is available from now until June 30th for all shows except Audience Choice and Taming of the Shrew.
