Eating out in Singapore tends to be quite the typical affair – you make reservations, you arrive, sit down, order, eat and leave. Nothing too out of the ordinary. That is unless you’re at one of Andsoforth’s conceptual pop up dinners of course.

The creative folks behind the initiative essentially pride themselves for bringing diners on a gastronomical journey with stories weaved by their artistic minds. Centered around the idea of theatrical feasts, you might just feel like you’re attending an immersive play where the characters are the food on the table.

Intrigued? Then you’ll definitely have to read on.

The Karl Experience

This time, the brilliant individuals are back at it again with their first fashion-themed dinner. Specifically, it’s one that’s inspired by the very Kaiser of fashion, Karl Lagerfeld. The concept revolves around a dystopian future set in 2070, where resources are scarce and fashion is a thing of the past. Which is where, the character, Lagerfeld comes in to ‘rescue’ the style-less individuals by journeying to the past and digging up pieces that could be worn for the people of the future. Oh yes, we’re thinking Hussein Chalayan light-changing dresses.

In their own words, the pop up dinner promises to be “…the perfect concoction of mischief and mystery with just a sprinkling of magic dust!” Doesn’t that already sound like a magical night waiting to happen?

With the location set to be kept a secret until the day itself, we can’t help but feel a little nervous about attending but we bet our curiosity will eventually soothe those nerves without question! So will we see you there?

The Karl Experience will be held from 19 August – 12 September, 7.30 – 9.30pm. Prices on Wednesday and Thursday are at SGD98 while Friday and Saturday are at SGD108. Book your tickets here.
