Our pick of exciting events from June 16
updated the Thursday, June 16, 2016Expect yet another week filled with roaring good events, right here in sunny Singapore.
World Music Day hits the globe soon, and Ô Comptoir is kicking off this annual celebration a tad early by throwing a special Wine & Jazz night this Saturday. Expect some slick beats and delicious bites at this crowd-favourite French bistro. If you’re more of a sweet dessert person, you might want to head over to Bugis Junction, where Chocolate Origin will be giving out free servings of their new Dark Chocolate Gelato, all day from 10:30am to 9pm. Don’t you dare miss out on such a cool treat!
If you have a penchant for hitting up local markets, head over to DECK on Prinsep Street to attend the Barter Market and foster some community spirit, or go a little out of your way to check out the Gillman Barracks Farmer’s Market to grab all your fresh produce and organic food needs. If “fun” is your middle name, you might want to bring your kids to the Loyang Bus Depot Carnival, happening this Sunday – you’ll even get to catch a lion dance performance and stand a chance to receive a free goodie bag. Don’t show up late!
