Leather Crafting Workshop Series – Introductory level
When: Saturday, 16 April; 11am - 6pm
Where: Millenia Walk
Why: This exciting beginner’s workshop hosted by Leathers&Such will set you up on a journey to understanding the differences in types of leathers and their characteristics. Aimed with this knowledge, you will then take part in some hands-on experience of cutting, constructing and finishing 3 of your very own leather products to keep: a cardholder and 2 key fobs in the colour of your choice. You even get to personalise these crafted products with your initials.

Les Luminéoles Ballet

Where: Marina Bay Sands (15th), Gardens By The Bay (16th)
Why: Be enchanted as giant dream-like birds of light and illuminated flowers gracefully dance with the elements in Les Luminéoles ballet. Originally commissioned for the Lyon Festival of Lights, the project brings its dreamlike dimension to Singapore during the opening weekend of the Voilah! festival.

Conversation with André Chiang

Inheritance by The Finger Players

Why: Written by emerging talent Ellison Yuyang Tan and directed by seasoned theatre practitioner Zelda Tatiana Ng, Inheritance tells a moving story of two sisters and their mother at the point when there is nothing to tie them together any longer.

Gourmet Picnic & Open String Quartet

Where: Singapore Botanic Gardens, Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage

This week presents a roller coaster ride of interesting workshops. Join Leathers&Such at Millenia Walk as they invite you to participate in a beginner’s workshop to create your very own leather products. Or if you prefer learning the art of taking Instagram-worthy photographs using just your phone, MAD School is hosting a great workshop that will help you gain some insight into how to post the greatest snaps you possibly can.

Interested in good music? For those who enjoy electronic beats, get your groove on at the Moonbeats Warehouse Party, which will feature a great lineup of both local and international DJs to keep you dancing the night away. For sounds that are a little more soothing, head to the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage at the Singapore Botanic Gardens to experience a picnic like no other, with French food and a French classical concert performance led by violinist Amaury Coeytaux.
