To Paris with Love
When: Friday, 16 October; 7:30pm
Where: 11 Empress Place, Victoria Concert Hall
Why: Singapore’s King of Swing Jeremy Monterio and Hong Kong jazz musician Eugene Pao come together to perform their latest album To Paris With Love. The concert is a tribute to jazz legend Michel Legrand and will be performed at the newly refurbished Victoria Concert Hall.

Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
When: Saturday, 17 October; 7:30pm
Where: 1 Esplanade Drive, Esplanade
Why: For one-night only, Christoph Eschenbach leads the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra during this evening of classic European music. Eschenbach will also take the stage as solo pianist for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major (K488).

Wisnu Auri: I am just doing aesthetics
When: Till 18 October
Where: 328 North Bridge Road, Raffles Hotel
Why: Indonesian artist Wisnu Auri will hold his first solo exhibition in Singapore. The 15 pieces aim to unify opposites, bringing together the modern and the classic to challenge society’s perception of beauty.

EP!C Presents Neon Future Expereience with Steve Aoki
When: Thursday, 22 October
Where: 17 Jiak Kim Street, Zouk
Why: Zouk welcomes Grammy nominated DJ Steve Aoki, one of the biggest acts in the world to to drop his party rocking beats in the super club. His set is part of Zouk’s Seize The Moment campaign – a farewell to their current premises, before they make their big move to Clarke Quay.

Chinglish

Where: 100 Victoria Street, National Library
Why: Pangdemonium presents its first bilingual play by David Henry Wang. Chinglish tells the story of an American businessman travelling to broker a deal in China, but not before meeting a colourful cast of character

Club 21 Bazzar

Where: 1 Republic Boulevard, F1 Pit Building
Why: Fashionistas and shopping divas rejoice! The lengendary Club 21 bazaar is back for three days only. You can expect to bag insane bargains from big brands such as Alexander Wang, Kenzo and Victoria Beckham

Living Yangtze Exhbition
When: Till 27 October
Where: 10 Bayfront Avenue, ArtScience Museum
Why: Eric Valli and Swarovski collaborate to present a multi-media exhibition to celebrate the Yangtze River. The showcase tells seven stories from seven communities in along the river to raise awareness of the importance of a clean, sustainable water source for the community.

TOTEM by Diana Lui
When: Till 31 October
Where: 1 Sarkies Road
Why: In collaboration with Alliance française de Kuala Lumpur, Diana Lui presents 27 portraits of modern women from all over Malaysia in traditional garb. The exhibit fuses past and present a perspective on modern women’s roles in society.

Hello Kitty Go Around! Carnival
When: Till 10 November
Where: 39 Artillery Avenue, Hard Rock Hotel
Why: A predude to Hello Kitty’s birthday in November, a 26-day long carnival will be held at Resorts World Sentosa. Die-hard fans of the famous feline will not only get to ride Hello Kitty themed rides, they will also have the chance to get merchandise and meet Hello Kitty herself.

Pinturas by Victoria Cattoni
When: Till 21 November
Where: 140 Hill Street
Why: Victoria Cattoni explores the abstract concepts like love, loss, color and beauty in her first major collection of painting by Cattoni in 20 years. The works were produced in Tasmania, Portugal and Singapore. This exhibit is her first ever solo showing in Singapore.

From Steve Aoki to Hello Kitty, there is something for everyone this week in Singapore.

From the classical to the contemporary, music lovers will be very likely to find a gig to head to this week.

Local super club Zouk begins to say farewell to its home for 24 years with a massive blowout. As part of their Seize the Moment Campaign, Grammy nominated powerhouse Steve Aoki will be dropping by to raise the roof at 17 Jiak Kim Street once more.

If that’s not your scene, you can catch the Vienna Philharmonic for their one-night only performance at the Esplanade. You can also spend an evening watching Jeremy Monterio and Eugene Pao as they bring on the smooth jazz at the Victoria Concert Hall.
