Whether with nails or razors, Singapore-based accessories label, Carrie K., is making a huge international impact.

As proud purveyors of the Asian stamp, we can’t help but give a megawatt smile when news of Singaporean label, Carrie K.’s global success hit our email.

Carolyn Kan, founder and designer of Carrie K., took inspiration from unconventional objects and re-spun them into beautifully crafted jewellery for her Reborn collection. Nails, gears, safety pins and now razor blades – Carrie K. is ultimately a well-polished and primped hardware store of covetable accessories.

In the upcoming series (continuation of the Reborn collection), razors and nails are reincarnated into cuffs, rings and ear cuffs, elegantly finished in gold and silver. By challenging the primary purpose of mundane objects, Carrie K., has created a whole new meaning to re-purposing for the sake of style.

The Razor and Nail series will be launched at Primere Classe during Paris Fashion Week on 28th February 2014. Premiere Classe, an accessory-only show, features a plethora of edgy high-end designers, including other Singaporean brands, Ling Wu and Choo Yi Lin.

Beyond showcasing at Paris Fashion Week, Carrie K. received global acclaim by way of partnering with stockists in the U.S., Australia, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong. The ladder only mounts further and this year, Carrie K. attained a flagship home in Japan with a full store-corner at the iconic Shibuya Seibu department store in Tokyo.

The playful and tongue-in-cheek nature of the designs coupled with unquestionable craftsmanship speaks volumes of the brand. Throughout her varied foray of pop up shops both in Singapore and overseas, it is safe to say that the Carrie K. brand is a step up to becoming a household name in time to come.

Carolyn Kan has ideally nailed everything to a T!

The Razor series will be available at the Carrie K. Atelier and the following worldwide stockists from mid-march 2014.
