The Singapore-based jewellery label is one to look out for if you’re on the hunt for an elegant mix of bold and delicate designs.

We tend to look overseas when it comes to jewellery designers but let us remind you that there’s no dearth to equally talented accessory artisans in Singapore. Case in point, Joanne L., the namesake label by designer, Joanne Low.

While her calling to jewellery design came from a box of plastic beads at Toys “R” Us, the former lawyer is no amateur in the business. Trained as a jewellery designer and equipped with knowledge in gemology, metalsmithing, technical drawing and computer-aided design, Joanne L was established. back in 2012, in a bid to celebrate the multi-faceted nature of women, through jewellery.

Joanne’s designs are constructed from a beautiful marriage between sensuality and audacity. They’re timeless and yet imaginative with forms that are inspired by nature, geometry and architecture. Occasionally, adorned with gemstones such as sapphires, amethyst and topaz, Joanne L.’s handcrafted baubles continually emphasize the brilliant feminine allure that emanates, regardless of the situation. In addition, her meticulous mix of bold and delicate pieces effectively transcends seasons and are essentially wearable for a multitude of occasions – whether to work or a cocktail event.

Now, judging by the support garnered through her recent showing at Singapore’s Blueprint trade show, we’re certain that Joanne Low is no doubt winning over the discerning industry with her expert hands. All we can do now is wait in anticipation to see what else she’ll be conjuring up in the coming months and we bet they’ll be just as enticing.

Oh and did we mention, she takes custom orders? So if you’re looking for a personalised and unique piece, Joanne is the woman to look for.
