While Fashion Week in London is in full swing, we bring to you an editorial debrief on what happened in New York – on some accessories that didn’t escape our ‘quirk’ radar.

If you were wondering what you missed at the recent New York Fashion Week, it’s simple: Hillary Clinton made a buzz at the Marc Jacobs show, Lady Gaga modeled for Marc Jacobs and as always not forgetting the New Yorkers braved the bitter cold in style.

But what did not escape us were the wacky accessories that we saw during the shows. For example, going out with a dog under the model’s arm at V Files is deemed to be more fashionable than carrying a chihuahua-shaped bag at Thom Browne. Also, wouldn’t we all be late trying to put on the 1+6 laced Nicopanda shoes? And look! The Nicopanda dishwashing glove finally reaches its heyday too. The rain boot heel was seen on all the models at the Jeremy Scott runway while during 3.1 Phillip Lim show, no one seemed to understand that we will never wear our sandals with socks – even if they are embroidered.

So there you have it, we’ll you with a gallery full of the wackiest accessories seen in New York? London can you top this?
