Benares teams up with Penhaligon’s to create Singapore’s first-ever scented fashion show.

What is more dreamy than a fashion show you ask? A scented fashion show!

Overflowing with indulgent 3- wick candles, endless macaroons, and models doused in the Vaara perfume, the Benares Penhaligon’s scented fashion show at Becasse Bakery, Ion Orchard enticed all of our senses. The collection, inspired by the dreamy mood and romance of the warm dessert sky started off with cool whites and subtle sands to then transition into true blues and vibrant shades of pink. The collection of bright and airy tops, slit pants and fun dresses takes traditional Indian pieces and transforms them into contemporary works of art. Using pure fabrics such as the silks, linens and cottons and hand-crafted embellishments – the versatile pieces are perfect for transitioning from day to night.

Vaara, a perfume created master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour by British fragrance house Penhaligon’s embraces classic Indian motifs perfectly. The fragrance, inspired by the Royal House of Marwar-Jodphur in Rajasthan, India offers a unique glimpse into the glamourous world of a Maharaja. The scent, strong at first begins with headnotes of coriander and carrot seeds, saffron and quince. Once settled, it becomes irresistible with an aromatic blend of honey, white musk and cedar wood – perfectly suited for the Benares collection.

The Benares collection is available the Benares stores at Ion Orchard and Raffles City, Singapore.

Vaara (approx. USD248 for 100ml) is available at the Penhaligon’s stores at Ion Orchard and Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
