Max Tan
As one of Singapore's darling fashion designers, Max Tan has been making huge waves in the industry. Setting up his first flagship store is definitely part of that wave as well. Known for his highly conceptual-driven designs that come with a side of sophistication, the Max Tan will also feature other designers like Mandy Wu, YouYou and Swedish-based brand, Odeur.

Napapijri
Fusing a penchant for expedition and style, Napapijri boasts of apparel that would most likely suit the modern day, sartorial traveller. As it recently set afoot onto Singapore's retail landscape with their first store in Southeast Asia, the Capitol Piazza space is one that feels like a comfortable refuge for customers as well.

Branché Hair & Nail Salon
The luxurious Japanese hair studio, which opened its doors over a week ago, features 3 workstations (& a VIP room), a selection of haircare products, nail services and coffee from hand-roasted beans from a Japanese roaster. Talk about a luxe pampering experience.

Dazzling Cafe
While there a slew of food options gearing up to open in Capitol Piazza, one we're particularly yearning to visit is Dazzling Cafe. Established by Taiwanese socialite, Janet Yang, the cafe arm of the business has taken Taiwan by storm with their Shibuya-style Honey Toast. Now we get to have a taste of it!

Marimekko
If you love your prints, you'll be particularly thrilled to hear that Finnish brand, Marikmekko is setting up base in Singapore - after their shop-in-shop at Tangs. Revered for their use of vibrant and kaleidoscopic prints and patterns, the brand is your best bet if you're looking to add a dose of zest to your style.

Manifesto
Set up by Frenchman, Walid Zaazaa, with over 15 years of design experience, Manifesto is gearing up to shake the conceptual retail scene in Singapore. The store will no doubt feature a wide range of international labels, alongside exlusive brands like Costume National, Christophe Lemaire, and Avelon. So for your fix of European fashion, this will become your official go-to.

Teuscher Chocolates
Everyone loves a bite of chocolate and everyone no doubt loves Swiss chocolate. So imagine our taste buds going into overdrive when we heard that Switzerland chocolatier, Teuscher Chocolates will be opening its new flagship store at Capitol Piazza. We're definitely getting our hands on those delectable champagne truffles - try beating us to it!

Benjamin Barker
As one of Singapore's savvy suitmakers, Benjamin Barker is similarly setting up shop right in the heart of town. Offering up custom-made suits, accessories and shoes, this is one menswear store that likens itself to Saville Row stores in London. So if you're looking to spiffy up, Benjamin Barker it is.

Ever since Singapore’s Capitol Building along the junction of Stamford Road and North Bridge Road got boarded up for renovations sometime last year, we’ve been eagerly waiting to witness what the revamp will bring. Now, in their last phases of completion, the area will see the historic Capitol Theatre re-opened, a luxury hotel, The Patina and a snazzy new four-storey mall, Capitol Piazza.

While some of the stores there were still busy with last minute sprucing up before the big reveal, others were already up and running as curious shoppers stopped by. So being the true blue shopaholics we are, we couldn’t reign in our excitement any longer and went to check out the brand new premises to narrow down our would-be favourite spots in the mall.

From scrumptious cafes and chocolatiers to local designer, Max Tan’s first flagship space and international brands like Marimekko and Napapijri opening up their first stores, there’s evidently a whole lot to check out once Capitol Piazza officially swings open its doors. Here are the stores you definitely need to have on your list!
