Coach’s 75th anniversary exhibition at Takashimaya details its rich design history

Before Coach became the esteemed and acclaimed global design house it is today, it started off as a small, Soho-based leather house reputed for its great leather craftsmanship and quality. Today, 75 years on, this iconic American brand is celebrating a grand milestone event with its 75th Anniversary exhibition at Takashimaya Singapore. The exhibition also includes the exclusive Coach Vintage Capsule collection and the release of the exclusive book, entitled Coach: A Story of New York Cool.
The exhibition details the fashion house’s story as the original American House of Leather, and also introduces the exclusive Coach Vintage Capsule collection and a showcase of its personalised leather services. Iconic Coach bag designs from the 1970s and 1980s were sourced over 18 months for this Vintage Capsule collection and individually restored and embellished by hand by the artisans in Coach’s New York workshop.
Coach: A Story of New York Cool is a beautifully illustrated volume featuring the brand’s current and archived photos, design sketches, ad campaigns and editorials. It also features various Coach icons like Prince, Madonna and Chloe Grace Moretz – something devoted fans of the brand would love to get their hands on.
The Coach 75th anniversary exhibition will be open to the public from the 22nd to 30th October at the Takashimaya Atrium.
