Katy Perry is this season’s jolly Santarina for H&M

Katy Perry lands H&M’s 2015 holiday campaign as the star on the top of the tree.
Sweet as sugar singer Katy Perry has scored yet another fashion gig as the face of H&M’s Christmas collection. The campaign consists of a Holiday video as well as print commercials.
The full-length commercial is set to drop on 23 November on their website. It features Perry as a festive fairy that starts to bring jolly inanimate objects like gingerbread men and teddy bears to life (How Katy Perry is that?). The soundtrack to the commercial is a new song written by the California girl herself titled “Every Day is a Holiday”. The singer joins the ranks of Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennet as musicians who have worked with H&M on their Christmas campaigns.
The “Roar” singer is dressed in outfits from the H&M holiday collection for the commercial and print campaigns. This includes fun pieces like Christmas jumpers and sequined t-shirts.
“I had such a festive time shooting this larger-than-life holiday commercial with Jonas Åkerlund, and all of the fun clothes, especially my favourite, the Elfie Selfie sweater,” said Perry, “H&M has been a part of the evolution of my personal style since I was 13, when I would start to incorporate fun, affordable H&M pieces into my vintage wardrobe. I can’t wait for you to give your wardrobe some sparkle with this magical Holiday collection”
Along with the Christmas Campaign, H&M will be spreading holiday cheer in the form of sales up to 50% starting 17 November. In addition, H&M is selling specially designed gift cards in the name of charity. For each card bough, the H&M Conscious Foundation will donate 5% of the price to UNICEF, who will in turn provide educational funding for children in Myanmar. H&M hopes to reach more than 350,000 children with this gift card campaign.
