Whoever knew that the Twilight star’s next big acting feature will be in portraying the legendary designer herself?

While the actress may be known for her role in the Twilight franchise, her long brooding gazes and unsmiling portraits, that’s not to say that the latest muse of Karl Lagerfeld, Kristen Stewart is about to go under the radar any time soon.

The Kaiser has in fact announced that the current face of the French luxury house is set to be the star of an upcoming documentary film, written and directed by Lagerfeld himself. “They make so many movies about Chanel, why can’t I make one?” questioned Lagerfeld. Revolving around the life of founder, Gabrielle Coco Chanel, Stewart will play the part of the legendary designer herself, who has essentially played it without a fault in question.

“She played it really, really mean,” said Lagerfeld to WWD. “You only see her in tests and she’s complaining about everything. She’s mean with the director; mean with the producer.”

Filming for the biopic was wrapped up last month in two days in French director, Luc Besson’s studio in Paris and the film will be shown 1 December during the Métiers d’Arts show in Rome.

When it’s a film that comes crafted from Karl Lagerfeld’s very own hands, then it’s a film that we definitely cannot wait to feast our eyes upon!
