Featuring a smorgasbord of prints, colour and textures that will captivate all senses – we review the latest collection from the young emerging label.

When nature surrounds us at every turn, it is hard not to take the lush foliage and blossoming flowers as inspiration. Couple nature with Australia’s renowned wallpaper designer, Florence Broadhurst, and you’ll have a collection essentially design itself.

Before you go on though, here’s a public service announcement: this collection is not for the weak hearted.

Gisellablu’s Spring Summer 2014 collection is on all counts feminine and visually alluring, while at other times hypnotic. The line up faultlessly evokes nature’s colour palette with vibrant greens, yellows and icy blues occasionally punctuated with gold and pink.

Essentially, the brand offers a good smorgasbord of fabrics and styles in lace, sheer, silk, jacquard, maxi skirts, dizzying prints and glitzy sequins. If you’re someone who appreciates the availability of choices then the Gisella blu brand is right up your alley. You could pick out a dress for a night out and at the same time mix and match separates to work into your office wear.

Our Picks? The A-line number graced with deep-green forest prints that could works either for the daytime, under a blazer or for a night out – all you need is a sparkly clutch to amp up the look. Since prints are a constant in our wardrobe, we can’t help but be equally enthralled by the floral printed jacquard pants and skirts.

If you were still harbouring inclinations to unleash your inner superhero ever since capes came back onto the scene then you would jump at Gisella blu’s finale black cape. Also, that would be the closest we can get to Kate Hudson’s flawless cape-like Versace gown at the Oscars.

It’s all about options these days and Gisella blu is offering that up on a polished gold platter.

Gisella blu is available at Raffles City Mall and Robinsons, Singapore
