Our favourite fashion icon, Kate Moss, returns for yet another lust worthy collection with Topshop – Here’s a first look at it. Get your cards ready!

As the unparalleled icon and muse of the fashion industry, it was only expected and deemed right for Kate Moss to return to Topshop with a whole new collection. This time though, the collection has matured in accordance to Kate’s growth as a designer and reflects essential elements of Kate’s wardrobe. So if you have been pining for an inch of what Kate wears, this collection for Topshop will be your best source.

Kate’s vision for the collection is a beautiful mélange of crochet dresses, tailored suits, relaxed silhouettes and flirty hemlines. One could view the varied themes and individual pieces as a projection of Kate’s wardrobe while she moves from event to event and destination to destination.

Hence, expectedly, her ardent love for the Balearic Islands in Spain resulted in a series of embroidered smock tops, silk blouses and a white kaftan based on a personal vintage piece that Kate owns. In addition, the Aztec and crochet lace dresses further calls for a summer holiday in a dominantly sunny locale.

Following the casual vibe is the adoption of silk satin sourced from London’s Soho that will make up a range of high-waisted trousers, blouses and even a pyjama coat. All of which come in two prints – distorted florals and an Oriental-inspired flower pattern.

Thereafter, for a night of cocktails, opt for the luxuriously-made pieces with intricate detailing to boast. From cobweb beadwork to sequined fringing, the designs here are elegant with a touch of vintage subtlety. Yet, honest-to-the-word tailoring is most apparent in the selection of tuxes and trouser suits in black and black gold metallic combinations a la true Kate Moss style.

The underlying tone throughout all four design themes, however, is an embodiment of Kate’s fascination with vintage finds, largely revolving around details and styles from the 70’s – meticulously updated for the modern times of course.

And if that has yet to leave you in fashion heaven, then there’s one dress that joins forces between high-end and high street fashion leaving you in a state of undeniable lust – an elaborate, hand-beaded delicacy of a dress, priced at USD1379 and will be available exclusively at Topshop.com.

It’s an understatement to say that we’re fuelling up for the launch because if pictures are anything to go by, we’re making our lists right this second!

Kate Moss for Topshop collection will be available in stores globally and online at Topshop.com, Nordstrom.com and Net-A-Porter.com from April 30.
