Have you heard? Topshop’s latest collaboration, Marques Almeida x Topshop is set to be a real crowd-pleaser. Here’s why.

We’re no strangers to the many exciting Topshop collaborations; from Kate Moss to Mary Katrantzou, Meadham Kirchhoff, Christoher Kane and more. As of October 9, a new collaboration is coming to town – and so far it’s looking like it will be one of our favourites.

The Marques Almeida capsule collection is set to be Topshop’s next-big-thing. Introducing a 68-piece collection that will let your 90’s fantasies run wild. The collection carries a mix of polished and tailored cuts alongside minimalist slip ons and super distressed denim jeans, dresses and tops. There’s even a chic faux-fur wrap to add a fun element to any outfit. Colours range from a beautiful olive to burnt orange and sky blues, finished with a subtle sheen.

Personally, we’re looking to snag up the wide-legged palazzo pants that sort of bring inclinations of a superhero and the boxy-shaped blazers for work meetings – it’s bound to get some heads turning along the way.

While you may not have been too familiar with the London-based designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, they should definitely go on your radar from today. The pair both studied at the ever-prestigious Central Saint Martins College before coming together to create their first collection in 2011. By targeting a late-teens market, the brand typically takes its inspiration from the casual denims and at times refined silhouettes of the mid 90’s.

We absolutely adore the collection that brings us back into our decade because after all 90’s fashion is a dominant trend at the moment.
