Here’s the lowdown on Chanel S/S 18 Collection.

With their track record of curating the most opulent and exquisite fashion shows (space shuttle, anyone?), the Chanel SS18 show definitely did not disappoint. This year, deviating far from its usual themes, Chanel seem to take a natural (literally) route this season.

With cascading waterfalls, fluttering breezes, and thickets of lush greenery, Chanel artfully channeled a magisterial woodland realm reminiscent of the Gorges Du Verdon – an exquisite canyon situated in Southern France. The models strode alongside the glistening waters of a meandering stream, accompanied with the gentle trickle of water flowing down the precipice of the cliff.

Not to be eclipsed by the arresting backdrop, the Chanel Spring-Summer 2018 collection complemented the ethereal visuals. Oversized chiffon with straight minis, tweed patchwork dresses in bold hues and suit jackets paired with cropped trousers were just a few of the looks from this season. Bathed in an aquatic palette, Chanel S/S 18 visually narrates a tale of undulating waves and gentle sunset reflections on the water’s surface.

And in a move of unprecedented humour, Chanel upped their accessory game with transparent wide-brimmed hats, knee-high boots and capes that won’t be out of place on a rainy day.
