ALDO has long been one of our favourite shoe parlours, offering a whole range of stylish shoes for any occasion.
This year, the fashion footwear retailer teams up with New York label (and designer) Misha Nonoo for New York Fashion Week 2015. The collaborative collection, dubbed Misha Nonoo x ALDO Rise, features strappy flats, heels and refined clutches that elevates the confident modern woman who wears them.
The inspiration behind the quiet, non-showy footwear and arm candy come from none other than the romantic tension or the sense of organised chaos illustrated in Dustin Yellin’s 3D psychogeography glass collage series. “This design speaks to my signature; creating a juxtaposition between my heritage and contemporary art and culture,” explains Misha Nonoo, the creative mind behind the label, in a statement.
Along with the collaboration, ALDO has a charming Spring/ Summer 2015 collection of footwear. The shoe label introduced knee-high gladiators and sandals that are gaining momentum this season, as well as their classic stilettos.
