Claire Foy's pale pink metallic look just does not do it for us; from the pale lavender ribbon on the waist to the 80s-inspired sequins, it's a truly confusing ensemble that testifies to the saying that 'less is more'.

The green and ill-flattering silhouette of this shimmering dress was definitely a poor style choice for actress Anna Chlumsky.

Natalie Portman
While Natalie Portman has given us some of our favourite red carpet looks every year, this mustard yellow number just doesn't do it for us. We have to concede though, that dressing that baby bump can be a tricky affair.

Amanda Peet
While actress Amanda Peet's dress does not necessarily scream fashion suicide, it's a rather bland and uninspiring option for a show-stopping, glitzy night.

Sarah Jessica Parker
Just when you thought everyone's style darling Sarah Jessica Parker could do no wrong, she channeled a somewhat confusing all-white ensemble last night on the red carpet. The rather frou frou dress paired with the braid could very well be Princess Leia-inspired and an homage to the late Carrie Fisher, but we're not sure that the look works. We doubt Carrie Bradshaw would approve either.

Don't get us wrong - we love Winona Ryder. However, this satin bustier ball gown is all too reminiscent of a high school prom dress; not too befitting of Ryder's poise and personality.

Tiziana Rocca donned a loose-fitted black collared dress with oversized sheer sleeves. The result is simply is too much fabric that overwhelms her silhouette.

The frou frou details and unflattering shade of pink definitely did not work on singer Carrie Underwood's red carpet look last night.

Nicole Kidman
Although metallics is massively on trend, we're not sure we like Nicole Kidman's look. The puffy sleeves add an unnecessary touch to an otherwise well-fitted dress.

Zoe Saldana
We have to admit: only the absolutely lithe Zoe Saldana can work this look without looking frumpy. Nonetheless, the pink colour blocking and satin bow sash at the waist is definitely not a look to rock on the red carpet - or anywhere for that matter.

The red carpet misses from the 74th Golden Globes 2017 awards show!

Hollywood’s finest descended upon the red carpet last night in Beverly Hills to celebrate the best of entertainment during the 74th Golden Globes 2017 awards show. While many of the looks were an absolute hit – Emma Stone’s dreamy look and Priyanka Chopra’s sultry sequin number, for one – others were a definite red carpet miss. Even our favourite red carpet style mavens such as the likes of Natalie Portman and Sarah Jessica Parker missed the mark this time. The Sex and the City star turned up in a confusing all-white ensemble and milkmaid braid that we’re pretty sure Carrie Bradshaw won’t approve of.
