1. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s opening
The indisputably hilarous Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the 72nd Golden Globe Awards and once again, the duo killed it! The Sisters stars kept the audience filled with laughter as they delivered their opening, in which they joked about the still-tender issue of Bill Cosby, garnering mixed responses from the crowd.

2. Joanne Froggatt’s emotional acceptance speech
British actress Joanne Froggatt wins a Golden Globe in the drama series Downtown Abbey, in which her character was violated and raped. Joanne's acceptance speech brought to light a letter she received from a rape victim, saying, "I heard you and I hope saying this so publicly in some way means you feel the world hears you." What an emotional speech by the first time winner!

3. The Clooneys vs Giuliana
E! Channel host Giuliana Rancic, who is known to have an ongoing playful crush on George Clooney, was more than eager to get the newly wedded actor to take a shot of tequila with her. Unfortunately for the host, it didn't happen as The Clooneys politely declined and silently watched her take a gulp. George would make up for the achingly awkward encounter later on as he pays tribute to Amal in his Cecil B. DeMille Award acceptance speech. Aww, George!

4. Margaret Cho as a North Korean General
Following the alleged North Korean hack to Sony's database, comedienne Margaret Cho posed as a North Korean general. Donned in a full uniform, with her heavily-powdered face and hair slicked back, she appeared several times throughout the night. Sadly the whole Cho Yung Ja act stirred up more ridicule than laughs on social media.

5. Benedict Cumberbatch the photobomber
At least General Cho got to pose with Into The Woods star, Meryl Streep, and was even photobombed by no other than Benedict Cumberbatch himself. The Sherlock Holmes star jumped and showed his jazz hands as Michael Keaton pressed the shutter. This must definitely be the best shot of the night.

6. Je Suis Charlie
In the midst of one of the world's most watched award ceremonies, celebrities paid tribute to the disheartening Charlie Hebdo shootings in Paris. Some of the stars, including Diane Kruger and Kathy Bates, were seen with a 'Je Suis Charlie' sign in support of the French paper. George Clooney, Jared Leto and president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Theo Kingma, also addressed the issue.

7. Prince’s appearance
One minute on the stage was all it took for Prince to have ladies up on their feet in an instant. Allison Janney was the ultimate fangirl as she clapped enthusiastically when Prince made his entrance. The Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe winner presented John Legend with the Best Original Song award.

6. Actor
All that glitter is not gold, not even the most glamorous dresses or prestigious awards in Hollywood. Britney Spears shaving her head bald and Robin Williams committing suicide are two of the many examples of actors facing incredible stress in the industry. From the lack of privacy, threatening calls, to heartless critics and undesirable exposure from the press, it's clear that what you see is all a facade - there's way more behind the scenes.

9. Jared Leto nails the man braid
Can we minute to talk about how Jared Leto managed to look so good in that man braid? The 30 Seconds to Mars lead vocalist usually flaunts his flawless locks, but this time he had girls envious of his perfectly messy braid. There you have it folks — goodbye man bun and hello man braid!

Jeremy Renner on J-Lo’s ‘globes’
Jennifer Lopez appears at the 2015 Golden Globes in a majestic Zuhair Murad gown. The plunging neckline only accentuates the 45 year-old's cleavage, enough to distract Jeremy Renner. When the two were presenting the award for Best Miniseries/Drama, our Jenny in the block offered to open the award card saying she has the nails. Jeremy nonchalantly replied, "You've got the globes too," referring to J-Lo's voluptuous top. While Jen managed a chuckle, the crowd laughed at the Hawkeye star's joke.

Even though the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards this year was missing some prominent names like Brangelina and the bubbly Jennifer Lawrence, the show nonetheless created a buzz in the entertainment world. Stars sashayed down the red carpet in their elegant gowns while the mob of paparazzi desperately tried to get their winning shot in. Others like Hollywood’s former most eligible bachelor, George Clooney’s focus remained firmly on his new wife. “As long as [Amal] doesn’t get the train stepped on then I’ve succeeded,” he said. We didn’t think it was possible, but he got even sweeter in his speech *swoons*.

Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler had the audience constantly bursting in laughter with their witty and humorous words and they might have just officially cemented their reputation as the best hosts of the event. From the duo shooting hilarious insults on movies, to the crowd’s favourite win of the night – Boyhood for Best Motion Picture/ Drama -, we summarise our top 10 moments of the 2015 Golden Globe Awards.
