Even if you’re away from loved ones, Burberry makes it easier to send a (virtual) kiss! And we’re not talking about the xoxo expression…

Burberry has truly embraced technology in a large way from as basic as livestreaming runway shows to making its flagship store in London a digitally integrated showroom that have only served to delight customers. Innovation at Burberry does not take a pause; their current foray is an (digitally) intimate one for sure, known as Burberry Kisses.

With the advent of technology, physical distance between people have been broken or rather reduced to mere broadband speeds on the computer. You may be miles away from home and yet at any time of the day, you could call home and see the smiling faces of loved ones, for as long as Internet is present.

Burberry Kisses does exactly just that by encouraging people to send virtual kisses to anyone in any corner of the globe, thereby embracing intimate emotions with technology. The entire process is also fairly painless, all you have to do is ‘kiss’, choose the lipstick shade you prefer and send it along.

However, to make the entire experience a little more realistic and less generic, users can capture a ‘real’ kiss with the help of the ‘kiss recognition technology’. You’ll be able to capture your very own authentic kiss either through a desktop camera or direct lip contact on touch screen devices. How’s that for innovation?

In this age, it may be hard to gather with friends and family over the holidays as everyone settles into different countries and locations for new endeavors. So if you’re away from home during the upcoming festive season, then this is possibly the most apt way to send your kisses and love. It is heartfelt and a truly adoring moment as you watch your envelope, laced with a kiss, fly over the virtual map interface.

As they say, seal the moment with a kiss!
