Give your feet a breather by slipping into one of the French brand’s comfortable yet sartorially savvy ballerinas.

When it comes to shoes, more options are always better – going by our ever growing cabinet – which is why whenever a shoe store opens, a little bell starts to gleefully ring in our heads. This time it’s because our ears got wind of the French boutique, Maud Frizon.

From the swinging 60s, and the opening of the first store in the legendary St Germain des Prés district in Paris in 1969, Maud Frizon has been creating shoes that are functional, playful and yet sartorially savvy. By marrying both practicality and exquisite craftsmanship, the designs are a refreshing breath of fresh air, especially amidst the stream of towering stilettos that tend to threaten your balance.

Essentially, Maud Frizon prides itself for their range of ballerinas that are incredibly feather-light and oh so comfortable – basically you wouldn’t want to take them off once on. And as they say, ballerina flats are a staple in any shoe wardrobe and enough pairs is hardly a comprehensible notion.

For Spring/ Summer 2015, stripes and polka dots continue to be the key motif in a vibrant palette of cherry reds, navy blues and powder blues to portray a youthful spirit. Along with the range of shoes, are the finest leather-made handbags to complete your look – whether day or night. For Spring, Maud Frizon introduced the versatile two-way bag constructed with fine Saffiano leather. Trust us, these bags could easily take you to work and yet not look to clunky for drinks after.

So as Singapore gets dotted with more and more stores to shop from, it’s safe to say, we won’t stop scouring the streets for good finds anytime soon and now we’ll do it without sore feet, thanks to Maud Frizon.

Maud Frizon is located at #02-35/36, Raffles City Shopping Centre and B1-07, ION Orchard.
