Cara Delevingne & Pharrell Williams: A Waltz for Chanel

Karl Lagerfeld takes us into the Austro-Hungarian world of the 50s, with the two stars of the moment. Watch the video here.

At Chanel’s upcoming Métiers d’Art which will be held in Salzburg on the 2nd of December, Karl Lagerfeld will open the show with a short film depicting a key moment in Coco Chanel’s life.

In 1954 and during a stay in an Austrian hotel, Mademoiselle Chanel fell under the spell of the lift attendant’s jacket, which will become the starting point of the famous little black jacket.

Entitled Reincarnation, this clip features British it-model Cara Delevingne and American singer Pharrell Williams, in a very  ‘Empress Sissi’ ambiance.

With his unique vision, the Kaiser manages to take us to relive the Austro-Hungarian Empire’s glory, in the space of one night, in the middle of the 50s.

It is also worth noting that the The soundtrack – entitled “CC the World” (referring to the initials of Coco Chanel pronounced “Sissi”) – to which the royal couple waltz away to, was composed by Pharell himself.

The full 7 minutes video will be released on December 1st, one day before the show. We can’t wait!
