Get the Look: Altuzarra's shirt dress from SS15

When a dress is too girlish for your liking, and a shirt is too formal, get the best of both with a shirt dress.
There's a reason why we love to steal our boyfriend's T-shirt, sweater or shirt. They're comfy and oversized, exuding a sense of nonchalance. We love it so much, we can find boyfriend-inspired anything with different fits made for women, meaning we don't have to steal from them anymore.
The shirt dress, for instance, was inspired by the boyfriend-fit shirt. Joseph Altuzarra counted in the medley attire in his label's spiffy Spring/ Summer 2015 runway, with an interplay of chest-baring and leg-baring slits intervened by a waist-cinching belt.
Taking all the dangerous coquettish details away, we discovered a more elegant version of Altuzarra's shirt dress at Zalora. Something Borrowed's black and grey mini dress falls high above the knees so there's no need of a belt. What it does need is a little bit of glam, from Topshop's wide brimmed fedora hat and spiked earrings from Gnossem. We're taking it down a notch with the black so we styled the getup with white mules this time.
