Palazzo pants and bomber jackets make unlikely pairings, but we’re loving it. Thank you, Louis Vuitton.

A bomber jacket is rarely seen paired with flowy, wide leg trousers, but Nicolas Ghesquière of Louis Vuitton has managed to make us yearn to don the combo every other weekend. The label showcased a mix of haphazard layering and a constant pairing of hard and soft for every outfit in the Resort 2016 collection, and we’re intrigued. Read on to find out how we recreated the look.

A crop top and palazzo pants can never go wrong, so we decided on a neutral-blush colour palette to mimic the nude jumpsuit at LV. The delicate look is toughened up with a cropped black bomber jacket in a surprising satin fabric – different from the predictable leather or nylon. Look leaner and longer with a towering pair of chunky platform heels to match the other black accents in the outfit. Grab a colour blocking clutch to tie everything together and finish it all off with minimal accessories and an undetectable amount of makeup.

Just remember that if you decide to wear this outfit again next week, change up the colours!
