Don’t be afraid to pile on the prints. Here we show you how to recreate one of the stunning printastic looks from Dries Van Noten.
A lot of times, prints are most pleasing to the eye when it’s done in moderation, or if there’s only one type of print in the entire outfit but that’s not to say that prints need to stay on the down low all the time. Over the seasons, more designers have been experimenting with pairing prints on prints and quite honestly, we adore it.
Take for instance, Dries Van Noten’s charming Spring/ Summer 2015 collection which saw a multitude of different prints matched together to sheer perfection. So in the spirit of it all, here’s our attempt at recreating the look – ultimately we realised the trick lies in matching the colours of the outfit. Do that and you’ll be safe.
With this look, we went with a dark green pants with jewel-like prints and a blazer that carried prints in the same colour family as the pants. With the main styling out of the way, complete the look with a stunning low cut crop top, layered necklaces and low heel sandals.
