Marc Jacobs has made a return to his eponymous label and the first task on his list of duties includes the launch of a series of Incognito bags that effectively marks a return to classic luxury.
Don’t be fooled by the name of the handbag though, because by no means will this go unnoticed if you have it hanging beautifully on your arm. Inspired by the signature shape of the doctor’s bag, the Incognito is a an ethereal masterpiece that is designed to give the illusion of an inner frame. Accentuated with bold details and clean lines, Marc Jacobs created a piece that perfectly exemplifies what is like to be strong without the aggression. The trick clearly lies in being cleverly understated.
Personally, we adore the dusty blue shade that evokes a sense of casual sophistication making it an ideal accessory for toting around everyday. And to add to the luxe factor, consider the level of craftsmanship that goes in – each bag requires 124 parts and takes up to a full day of sheer work to assemble, by hand in an atelier in Florence.
