If you think getting a bauble from an auction will cost the earth, think again. We round up the more affordable lots up for bidding.

To many of us, auctions are fancy, old-world affairs that deal with millions of dollars all at the delicate flick of a wrist and the bang of a gavel.

Bonhams is auctioning off a range of fine jewellery on 30 November at their Rare Jewels and Jadeite auction. In an effort to make the world of auctions more accessible to more people, Bonhams has carefully highlighted the more ‘affordable’ fine pieces.

The affordable items are defined as items that are estimated to go up to USD15,000 at the auction. Bonhams suggests that these pieces are versatile enough to wear daily and for special evenings. From diamonds to jades, the items are all made out of the finest gems. The small selection showcases the variety of lots that are being offered up at the upcoming sale.

If you’re interested you can preview the collection at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on 7 and 8 November from 10am till 8pm and 7pm respectively.

Good luck at the auction!
