Best Dressed of the Week: Cara Delevingne in Vatanika SS15
Turning heads the Paper Town photocall, the English model-actress successfully wowed the crowd with her Vatanika retro-inspired outfit.
We love it when international celebrities look to this side of the world – and specifically Asian designers – when dressing up. All-rounder It-girl, model – and most recently actress – Cara Delevingne is the latest star to follow the likes of Rihanna and pick an Asian designer for her outfit. This time, it was Bangkok-based label Vatanika’s turn to shine.
While we may have ended up looking suspiciously like a picnic mat in the same outfit, the Paper Towns star pulled off her look with an elegant flourish, thanks to her superbly toned body. Arriving at the recent movie photocall in Madrid, Delevingne quickly turned heads with her monochromatic Vatanika crop top and matching shorts from their Spring 2015 collection.
Continuing her androgynous fashion, the two-piece is distinctly retro-inspired, though the clean-cut and defined geometric prints did a great job in injecting a renewed sense of strength and laid-back vibe to her look. We love that the simple print is distinct enough to attract attention, yet not so excessive that it overpowers. Delevingne’s gorgeous ash brown curls sure helped to soften the look as well.
Completing the outfit with a pair of ankle-strap Casadei heels, killer red lipstick, and Vita Fede jewellery, Delevingne style’s successfully struck the delicate balance between edgy, feminine, and fierce. If anything, she is walking proof that you don’t have to be flashy to be fabulous.
