Get the Look: Pumpkin and neutrals from Vetements Spring 2016
In the spirit of Halloween, we’re making the most out of everything orange in fashion,
Before Balenciaga, designer Demna Gvasalia’s world revolved around Vetements, the young underground label fronted by him and his brother together with a collective of other designer friends. The group made unconventional fashion cool again with their unfussy yet playful take on a number of themes during their Spring 2016 show.
For our Get the Look this week, we’re taking inspiration from this voluminous ensemble straight off the runway comprising of a sashed bright orange top and super-wide leg trousers in a safari-ready neutral shade. Besides the waist sash, more definition was given to the look with the help of a watch strapped over the extra-long sleeves to create a flirty teacup sleeve effect.
Endless trouser hems means the shoes could be in any form you wish, but we opted for a chic mink pair that will peek out ever so slightly under the pants with every step.
