Foot Killer: Why you should ditch your flip-flops forever
We’d like to point out that they’re not exactly the most flattering type of footwear you could be flaunting.
We’ve already given you a couple of good reasons why you should be throwing those flip-flops in the bin, or at least wearing them less. Yes, they provide a breeding ground for bacteria, and yes, constant dependency on thin-soled flip-flops can eventually wear out your tendons and damage the bones in your feet.
Here are a few more reasons that could finally push you to make a change:
Flip-flops aren’t for grown-ups
Sure, we understand that they’re convenient and can be quite comfortable. Nonetheless, it’s time to grow out of those rubbery pre-teenage cartoon motif slippers and those loose-fitting ones that shuffle across the floor and make you sound like you’re constantly dragging your feet like a little kid. Don’t be lazy – it’s not that much harder to put on some chic sandals or stylish sneakers.
Flip-flops aren’t professional
Flip-flops are notorious for appearing unprofessional and way too casual – so don’t even think about wearing them to work. They could even get you fired. You’ll want something much more sophisticated to join your office wardrobe. The only place you’ll want to be donning floppy “feet thongs” would be at the beach or at the poolside, where you can cover them in as much sand and water as you want.
