Don’t be fooled by the intrinsically minimalist interior design of this chic fusion restaurant. Muse Amuse will delight your taste buds without fail.

Located in a conservation shophouse along South Bridge Road is the recently minted Mod-Asian restaurant that’s making a name for itself. Of course, Muse Amuse is not just a place to indulge in food — part of The Carbon Collective multi-space concept, which also includes a retail space boasting luxury watches from bespoke brands, Muse Amuse melds a cocktail bar concept (‘Amuse’) with a dining concept (‘Muse’). This means you get to treat your taste buds to delicious fusion cocktails with hints of Asian influences shining through, alongside impeccably crafted sharing plates with distinctively global flavours.

We say impeccably crafted because this is where you’ll be served the likes of Uni Pie Tee (yes, your local nyonya kueh pie tee delectably topped with Hokkaido sea urchin — a sinful addition), 6-day Baby Back Pork Ribs (twice-marinated loin ribs doused in a gorgeously sweet-sticky homemade BBQ sauce, the tender meat just falling off the bone), and Gula Melaka Panna Cotta with Umami Sea Urchin (yes, you read right), among a list of other impressive dishes.

Their signature cocktails, crafted by resident mixologist Isz Valentino, will also steal the show with their Asian influences. The Tom Yum Bloody Mary introduces a vodka-infused tom yum broth that has been brewed for 4 hours in a 68-degree water bath. Components like kaffir lime leaves, bird’s eye chilli and lemongrass, all frequently found in typical tom yum soup, garnish the cocktail impressively. For anyone needing something a little more sweet, the Teh Halia Earl Grey with Gingered Candy and syrupy Bandung Blush are locally inspired tipples guaranteed to refresh your palate.
