The long weekend lines at Sunday Folks are, if anything, a testimony to its popularity as an ice cream spot in Singapore.
With only six selection of flavours, its bestsellers include delicious, rustic flavours like the Sea Salt Gula Melaka and Earl Grey Lavender (SGD7.20 a scoop). These buttery soft soft-serves are best eaten with their warm Belgian waffles (SGD11.80 each).
As the weekend crowds can get pretty heavy, head down early to avoid missing out on a table.

Island Creamery
Island Creamery will always be a place we have a soft spot for. We feel it’s arguably the Willy Wonka factory of ice cream options.
Here are just some of their glorious flavour concoctions: from local flavour-inspired concoctions like Teh Tarik, Ice Kachang, Kahlua Latte and even Pineapple Tart, to more contemporary flavours such as Black Forest, Brandied Cherry, Nutella, Apple Pie, and even alcoholic options like Brandied Cherry and Tiger Sorbet.
With the eclectic range of flavours, there truly is something for everyone. The flavours are created so accurate in taste to their names, and can be opted to be served with a waffle or their other dessert options.

Ice Queen
What sets Ice Queen Creamery apart from other spots in Singapore is that all its ice cream are made using liquid nitrogen - something still relatively new in the dessert scene in Singapore.
Although the liquid nitrogen aspect to the ice cream makes for a real visual and #Instagramworthy treat, it is not just a gimmick. Liquid nitrogen eliminates the chemicals and additives from the ice crystals that form when ice cream takes too long to freeze, resulting in a smoother, creamier taste and blend.
While it has some classic flavours such as Sea Salt Caramel, there are flavours available as equally unique as its conception: Asian inspired creations like Gula Melaka, Chendol, and their take on our personal favourite dessert, Mango Sticky Rice, it surely does wonders for the tastebuds.

Holy Cow Creamery
Nestled in the heartlands of Yishun is Holy Cow Creamery that offers a sumptuous array of quality, home-made ice cream flavours.
True to the authentically Singaporean approach to ice cream, their scoops are sandwiched in the much-loved classic bread style. Crowd favourites are the Miss Saigon, Honeycomb and Mr Potato Head flavours.
They also have dessert options incorporating a delicious dollop of their ice cream, like the Apple Crumble pictured.
Priced at SGD2.90 a scoop, residents in the North can easily satisfy their cravings without having to make a trip out of it.

Fat Cat Ice Cream Bar
Tucked away in Bedok is Fat Cat Ice Cream Bar - something for the East-siders to rejoice about.
Housed in a great ambience with a cosy, earthy feel, it serves quality made ice cream with great flavours like Strawberry Sorbet, Thai Milk Tea, Espresso and Smoked Oolong Tea.
They also have other dessert options to accompany your sweet treat that might just having you purring with joy.

The Daily Scoop
With various stores around the island, The Daily Scoop is definitely a local favourite spot.
With handmade ice cream and freshly baked cones, the scrumptious flavours like Strawberry Shortcake, Nutty Macademia, Kookie Monster and Mao Shan Wang have customers returning for more. Customers also have the option of generous multiple scoops, and having their ice cream served with a warm, fluffy waffle.
With its original location at Sunset Way, the store has now expanded to four locations islandwide.

+39 Gelato Bar
Named after the Italian country code, +39 Gelato Bar claims to be the first live gelato concept in the Asia Pacific Region.
Creamy and smooth, they make fresh gelato daily, incorporating only quality ingredients sourced locally and from Italy. The gelato is so smooth, it seamlessly glides down your throat. The flavour menu changes regularly, but some regular favourites include very classic Italian-inspired flavours like Pineapple Lemon Basil and others like Raspberry, Pistachio, and Chilli Chocolate.

Udders
Udders is definitely a tried and trust Singaporean favourite. Handmade from natural ingredients, its ice cream flavours are as original and experimental as they are delicious. Popular flavours include Snickers Mars Honeycomb Vanilla, Peanut Butter Crunch, Horlicks Balls, and Oktobeer. True ice cream lovers can also opt for their famous Monster Cone, aptly named for its size.
With it being mooncake season, do try their seasonal Ice Cream Mooncake, as a cool alternative to your traditional or snowskin variety.
Udders' icecreams are also available with waffles, and they have some pretty great sundae flavours too.

Honey Creme
Korean soft serves are all the rage and the long queues at Honey Creme are evidence of that.
The soft serves (priced at SGD5.90) are very smoothly blended, and some of the flavours like the Caramel Popcorn Soft Serve adds a nice crunchy texture to the ice cream. The store also has the fluffliest, organic cotton candy affogato options.

Momolato
An option for the more discerning, health-conscious ice cream lover, Momolato's gelatos and popsicles are made free of artificial colouring and perservatives, and made from fresh fruits.
Flavours change up weekly to break the routine and give you more options for your palate to try. Definitely ideal for SMU undergrads seeking a cold refreshment on long lecture days. The relatively low prices are also a sweet perk.
Popular flavours include the fresh Kimelon Sorbets, OL Baileys, and Mount Mao Mao, which has actual bits of real durian fruit - always a plus in desserts.
