FOR AFTER-WORK DRINKS: Kimme
Kimme is the latest restaurant to join the trendy dining enclave that is Amoy Street. Launched end of 2017, it's a modern Asian bistro dishing out mod-Korean cuisine (i.e. contemporary dishes with a Korean fusion twist). The restaurant is helmed by chef and owner Sun Kim, who's also behind Michelin-starred restaurant Meta in Bukit Pasoh, together with his team of senior chefs. Kimme was conceptualised to be casual after-work dining, with a well-curated wine and cocktail selection and a menu that is ideal for sharing.

FOR EUROPEAN FOOD: Tablescape
If you're looking for hearty and comforting classic European dishes, be sure to check out Tablescape this month. We love the free-flow bread that comes with a generous selection of olive to sourdough, as well as their extensive premium wine and craft beer offerings. Tablescape boasts of a decent ambience that feels quite different from the usual hotel restaurant fare, with its trendy pastel pink touches in its furnishings. Give the Salmon Gravlax (SGD16), served with a decadent cream cheese ice cream, and tuck into their dessert trolley spread!

IN THE HEARTLANDS: ToriYard
Following the success of her first F&B launch Canopy Dining, celebrity turned restauranteur Jazreel Low has now launched a new yakitori spot right in the heart of Bishan Park. Another new dining spot right in the heartlands, we predict their smoking hot yakitori and sake offerings will be a hit in the neighbourhood (and beyond). The restaurant has an open-concept grill station which lets diners enjoy the sight of their meats being prepared. The menu is curated and designed by Tokyo native Chef Hasegawa Isao. If you love experimenting with interesting cocktails, give the Onsen Tamago Cocktail a go, which consists of an onsen egg, foie gras, salmon roe and uni.

FOR VEGAN FOOD: HSVRT
Kilter Avenue, a fitness lifestyle space, launches HRVST, its in-house vegan restaurant and bar, dishing out a delicious menu of vegan appetisers, mains and bar snacks. Their culinary philosophy is to challenge the layman's perception of 'bland' and 'boring' vegan food. Hemled by partner head chefs Addis Tan and Dylan Choong, who boast of an impressive experience in established (and meat-heavy) restaurants like Esquina, Tippling Club and Cheek by Jowl, you can certainly expect a refreshing take on vegan cuisine. Here's a sneak peek of what you can expect: succulent Soy Satay, a creamy Pumpkin Gnocchi served with a Tom Yam Broth, and more.

FOR COCKTAILS: Elixir Bar
Blink and you might miss it but Elixir Bar, located in multi-concept space at KUVO in Orchard, is definitely a hidden gem of a watering hole to check out - particularly if unconventional cocktails are your thing. The entire bar is conceptualised after ancient medieval themes and legends. Its drinks (called 'Elixirs') are served in authentic-looking goblets, with names that run the gamut of Anubis Potion and Elixir of Luck. Its cocktail mixes are also concocted with 'magical' ingredients like Heart of Swan and Slime of Snail (that really are just ). Its theatrical aesthetic is not just a gimmick however; the drinks are done well, and prepared by its young Ukrainian-born Head Mixologist, Vladyslav Buzko, who has clinched top spots in esteemed cocktail competitions from around the world.

FOR DESSERTS: Tarte by Cheryl Koh
Tarte by Cheryl Koh has found itself a new home at Shaw Centre, with an expanded menu and its own intimate dining space. Tarte is the culinary brain child of Les Amis Group's pastry chef Cheryl Koh that specialises in - you guessed it - strictly tarts. But these aren't just your ordinary run-off-the-mill tarts; each of her immaculately-baked tarts are perfectly constructed, evenly-shaped, satisfying crumbly and as delicious as they are visually pleasing.
