5 Chocolate Recipes: Grandma’s Chocolate Cream

Indulge yourself with this delicious recipe, straight from Grandma’s kitchen.

Cooking time: 25 min
Rest : minimum 2

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 125 g 70% Lindt Chocolate Cooking Cocoa
  • 40ml of milk 
  • 35ml of liquid cream
  • 6 egg yolks
  •  150 g caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon coffee vanilla extract

Method:

1. Grate the chocolate. In a saucepan, mix the milk and cream on medium heat.

2. Meanwhile, beat the egg yolks with the sugar until a clear and frothy cream is obtained.

3. Stir in the cornstarch and the milk and cream mixture.

4. Pour into a saucepan. Stir over low heat constantly, until the cream thickens,​ but without boiling.

5. Put off the heat, add the grated chocolate and vanilla extract

6. Mix well.

7. Divide cream cups. Let cool, cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
