Easy Pies & Tarts Recipes: Mini Apple Slippers with Celery and Bacon

Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 1 pure butter puff pastry packet
- 50g Herta Nature Strips
- Half an apple
- 1 stalk celery
- Some nuts
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 nut butter
- 1 teaspoon Soup of Sugar
Method:
1. Peel apple and cut into small cubes
2. Wash the celery and cut into small cubes
3. Preheat oven to 200°C
4. Using a skillet, sauté the diced apple and celery with a little butter until tender
5. Crush hazelnuts until they are fine, coarse bits
6. Using a cookie cutter, cut out discs of dough and prick with a fork to prevent them from swelling during cooking
7. Place in the center of each disc a teaspoon of diced apple and celery. Add some bacon, crushed hazelnuts and a pinch of sugar. Close the slippers with a mold, or seal the edges well with a fork
8. Coat top with egg yolk for gilding. Bake for 20 minutes whilst observing
