From the runway to the streets: 5 beauty looks from Seoul Fashion Week
updated the 7 October 2015 à 00:03From bold hues to subtle flushes, the best place to discover new beauty trends is backstage at Seoul Fashion Week F/W 2014.
Similarly, makeup looks are not spared on the seasonal trend calendars. While many look to our Western counterparts for the next lip shade or eyeliner shape to flaunt, we’re going to show you our favourite looks right from our proximate neighbours.
And trust us when we say, the next time you need inspiration, look to Asia. After all, who’s to say that Asia doesn’t do as good a job in beauty?
Bold Lips
Lips are on two ends of the continuum this Fall – highly saturated hues at Le Queen and Arche or dark monotones as seen in Big Park and Demoo Parkchoonmoo.
Bronze Lids
Johnny Hates Jazz had models in a shimmery bronze eyeshadow that extended upwards to the eyebrow while keeping the rest of the face relatively minimal. And that’s how you do subtle yet alluring.
Bitten/ Gradient Lips
K-Pop stars have been sporting this look relentlessly and so did Carnet du Style and Soulpot Studio for their show this season. Dab on concealor on your lips and only apply lipstick to the inner section of your lips.
Flushed Cheeks
Achieve a post-workout flush (without working out) by sweeping on some cherry-shade blushes ala J. Koo and Enzuvan.
Eye Pop
S=YZ gave a much needed update on the typical black eyeliner by coupling it with a streak of blue. Blue not your colour? Then take out your palette and experiment with different streaks of shades.
