Take care of your eyes – you only have a pair of them.

Screens, screens, screens. They’re all we look at every day. If it’s not our computer, it’s our phone. And, if it’s not our phone, it’s somebody else’s phone. The screen mania simply never ends. But, while you’re getting your work done or your fill of entertainment, your eyes are getting the short end of the stick. Prolonged staring at digital screens can overexert your eye muscles and reduce your blinking rate, which may lead to eyestrain and dry eyes. Don’t be surprised if your next eyeglass prescription boasts of a worsened eyesight.

The bottom line: our screens and our eyes just can’t see eye to eye. And, even though we all know that it’s bad for us, we simply have no choice. After all, work is work, and someone’s got to be putting bread on the table.

So, what do we do when there’s no way out? Well, we deal with it head-on. There are a myriad of habits we can adopt to be better caretakers of our eyes. From adjusting the lighting of our surroundings to donning the right spectacles, these practices will put us on the right track to maintaining good eye health. Hop over to our gallery above where we’ve rounded up all of them!
