Natural Remedies: Zooming in on wheat!

“We now know that wheat contains theprecursors of dopamine and serotonin, neurotransmitters that play an important role for good immunity,” explains Véronique Goichon, pharmacist and a specialist on the nutritional guidelines of Hildegard of Bingen, a twelfth century nun whose dietary recommendations have survived the test of time.
Hildegarde advised the wheat diet prepared with four spices: thyme (antiseptic and digestive), blue ginger (anti-inflammatory), African chrysanthemum (rich in vitamin B12), hyssop (hepatic tonic).
We can simplify our lives by making a wheat remedy just one day a week, cooked with ginger and thyme. This cereal comes in flakes, powdered or as whole grains.
