Packed with wholesome goodness, Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit teams up with Singapore’s best F&B outlets to bring this sunny fruit to our menus.

Kiwis are invading Singapore; And no, we don’t mean New Zealanders, we mean the famous yummy and healthy green fruit! Zespri International Limited has made it easy for us to enjoy this nutritious fruit by partnering with four of Singapore’s favourite F&B outlets, namely Maison Ikkoku, Spatula Bakery, Stellar at 1-Altitude and Udders. The partnership ultimately forms the ‘Zespri Sunny Everywhere’ Campaign, that aims to highlight the refreshing kiwi flavour in different types of food and drinks.

Till September, the mouthwatering campaign essentially encourages us to experience the different tastes expressed by each vendor, through carefully thought out unique starters, desserts and cocktails – all made with Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit as a key ingredient. What a novel idea!

For an ideal kiwi fix, you can start your day at Spatula Bakery and tease your palette with a slice of delicious White Chocolate Kiwi Mouse Layered Cake, and then hop over to Stellar at 1-Altitude for a Kiwi-inspired main course of Sake Iced Sword Fish, SunGold Carpaccio and Sorbet. Finally, top off your meal and beat the heat with some refreshing SunGold Sorbet at Udders and end the night with a bang at Maison Ikkoku, with their carefully concocted There Is Gold In The Basket cocktail.

Apart from being juicy and delicious, complete with edible seeds and with a flavour that’s the perfect combination of sweet and sour, the kiwifruit is also fortified with a wealth of nutrients – three times the amount of Vitamin C of oranges and ten times the nutrition of apple. Coupled with a rich source of Fibre, Potassium, Folate and Vitamin E, this little gem of a fruit combats all sorts of ailments – both serious and non-serious.

Now after bearing all the benefits in mind and if you’re looking to create your very own kiwi-inspired recipe, go ahead and grab a bunch from the local supermarkets. Alternatively, we suggest ending the a long work day by making yourself an invigorating cocktail with a recipe courtesy of director and mixologist at Maison Ikkoku, Ethan Leslie Leong.

It’s time to get kiwi’d!
