The egg contains many essential vitamins and minerals within its thin shell, and it’s also a source of culinary creativity. We’ve rounded up all the benefits here, along with recipes to get cracking at.

Eggs are in almost everything we eat, and that is good. The whites and yolks contain many valuable nutrients for a healthy diet. Eggs can be boiled, scrambled, poached or be whipped up into an omelette, as you prefer.

But to expand your egg-cooking repertoire, we’ve got two recipes right that you can immediately get cracking at!

Tomato and egg cocotte

Wash 2 round tomatoes, cut them to a third of their height and hollow out the insides. Add salt and pepper. Break 2 eggs without breaking the yolk and pour that into the tomatoes. Throw in basil leaves, sprinkle with paprika and close each tomato with its cap. Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C.

Salmon stuffed eggs

Peel 4 boiled eggs and cut in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks. In a bowl, mix them with finely chopped onions, chives and a pinch of ginger powder. Garnish the egg whites with the mixture and cover with slices of smoked salmon.
