Could this popular Korean side dish be the solution to reducing belly fat?

Belly fat: the bane of our existence.
The Achilles heel of the average woman, a hefty midsection has more adverse health effects than you think. Numerous studies have established links between belly fat and major diseases, namely, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and cardiovascular diseases.
As such, we were intrigued when we heard of the belly-blasting properties of this particular much-loved Korean side-dish: the humble Kimchi.
This side dish, which is no stranger to the average Korean household, contains a naturally-occurring chemical called Capsaicin that can send your metabolism through the roof. Coupled with its appetite-suppressing qualities, this Korean dish is virtually a miracle ingredient.
It also boasts of a low-fat and high dietary fibre content and is jam-packed with probiotics and healthy bacteria that lowers cholesterol levels and aids in digestion. Its benefits don’t end there: kimchi also contains anti-aging properties and is known to create radiant skin and shiny hair.
Who knew we had another reason to love kimchi more than we already do?
