The Sleep Report: How to get a restful night?

We all dream of it. We know good sleep does us good… that kind of long, dreamless, slumber that we do not have to toss and turn for hours before slipping into. Easier said than done? Not necessarily.

Impossible to get some shut eye? Systematic body alarm clocks at 3am and 6am? Just rolled out of bed, and already exhausted? Obviously, our relationship with Morpheus is increasingly tempestuous. A large portion of people complain about having problems sleeping.

However, good sleep is essential to our physical and mental health. While we float in that delicious stupor, our cells regenerate, our muscles banish toxins, our immune defences are restored, and our hormones rebalanced… This is why quality sleep protects us against diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, anxiety or depression. It is therefore crucial to stop the bad sleep habits by adopting some simple guidelines to your life and diet. Here are some tips to find a peaceful night without drugs, depending on the nature of your troubles.
