They are not necessarily single women; sometimes they are moms. They travel alone and here they explain why.

Rebellious and adventurous, they’ll visit a European capital, rent a house by the sea or take a trip to the ends of the world, with their backpack, all alone.

Single women, married or divorced, with or without children, they give themselves solo holidays. According to a poll conducted by HostelBooker.fr and WeGoSolo (2013), of 1000 women questioned, 28% travel alone because of their love of freedom, 17% for the spirit of adventure and 15% to know themselves better.

More than others, these women like solitude and the unforeseen; it is even a way to recharge their batteries and to spend time by themselves. By flying away for example to see the Taj Mahal, or going down the Mekong by raft, they are considered ‘selfish’ women.

Hyper connected with the world that surrounds them, they are above all curious and resourceful. On the way back, they relive the experience by sharing photos and memories with their close family and friends.
