A Zen beginning: Creating a yin-yang balanced decor

The yin-yang balance is one of the most essential things to consider when arranging your space based on the feng shui principles. Here’s how to optimize this balance.

Yin energy is brought by the cold, calm, and humidity, and is associated with curves of blue and green; the atmosphere is warmed by notes of yang (fire, metal, red, yellow, squares…).

It has to shine! A white tablecloth reflects light like iridescent silver Christmas baubles.
To create points of warm light, lighten the mood and expel the shadows, put in place a collection of candles, flower or tinsel garlands, orange or red lanterns and bright glass spheres.

A mirror creates the illusion of a larger space, useful when there are a lot of people, but it also has an energizing effect. Similarly, a crystal ball hanging from a window will refract and scatter light. And how good it looks! Marking your celebrations with star-shaped flowers, pine branches, hyacinth (linked to the Wood element), and orchid (related to water) strengthen family and friendship ties and are ideal.
