Singapore Cocktail Week 2015: Time to get tipsy over world-class drinks

Satiate all of your alcohol desires at the first ever Singapore Cocktail Week – expect delicious concoctions from the most talented of bartenders
Hear ye, hear ye! All you drinking connoisseurs who know your whisky from your bourbon and all the rest of you who drink because, well, alcohol, need to put those glasses down and listen up because our island-state is gearing up to host its first ever Singapore Cocktail Week. You heard that right. The eight day-long showcase will have cocktail workshops, themed cocktail tours and nearly 30 of Singapore’s popular bars offering delicious tipples – so you know this is one event that absolutely needs to be engraved into your calendars.
For instance, if you’re proud patrons of bars such as Jekyll & Hyde, Jigger & Pony, Potato Head Folk, The Library, The Spiffy Dapper or the Tippling Club, then prep yourselves to lap up on drinks from SGD14++ onwards with the purchase of an entry ticket. But if that does little to whet your alcohol appetite, perhaps, 10 of the world’s best bartenders would be able to do something. From Roman Foltan (The Artesian at The Langham Hotel, London) to Ivar de Lange (Demain Nijmegan, Holland) and Nick Koumbarakis (The Alchemist Says, South Africa), we’re certain you’ll be craving for more just from the first sip.
Finally, in a bid to celebrate the local cocktail scene and the burgeoning crop of bartending talents, the event will also host the second installation of Singapore Bar Awards (SBA) where awards such as Best Male Bartender, Best Female Bartender and Best Bar will be given out, amongst other categories.
We’re not exactly sure why it took this long, seeing that there are rows and rows of watering holes here but boy are we thrilled to down some of the signature concoctions Singapore Cocktail Week has lined up for us.
