Just because the sun has gone down doesn’t mean it’s time to retire for the day – Kuala Lumpur can be pretty awesome in the nighttime too.

Menara Kuala Lumpur Tower
Also known as the Kuala Lumpur Tower, the Menara KL Tower sits atop Bukit Nanas (‘pineapple hill’) Forest Reserve and stands at 421 metres tall. The tower’s observation deck allows you to view the city below from a height of 276 metres - you will surely want to head up there to enjoy the breathtaking panorama. Open until 10pm seven days a week, there’s plenty of opportunity to head up there in the evening to see the gorgeous twinkling city lights of KL in the evening.

Taman Connaught Pasar Malam
One of the most interesting night markets in Kuala Lumpur is the Taman Connaught Pasar Malam, which is apparently the longest night market in Malaysia and spans over two whopping kilometres, which means that you will find at least 700 stalls along the entire shopping stretch. The lively market is located along Jalan Cerdas and is open every Wednesday from 4pm to 11pm. It gets incredibly busy, so we advise you to be wary of stepping on people’s toes here!

Chinatown Night Market
Possibly the most famous night market in Malaysia is the one along Petaling Street. While the area is open throughout the day, it truly becomes a different place when night comes. Here, you’ll be able to pick up a great bargain - anything from knockoffs to cheap street food. Arguably a bit of a tourist trap, you might just be able to find something worth purchasing after perusing the many dozens of stalls.
